Hello! We are the Holwerda Family. We are glad you found us. Want to get to know us better? Here are our families top 8 most interesting facts:

1). We (Brad and Lindsey) are high school sweethearts and have been married a dozen years–yay!

2). Grace and Sadie are sisters born EXACTLY 1.5 years apart. When it’s one sister’s birthday, it’s the other’s 1/2 birthday. Which means they also have the same Golden Birthday (Turning 7 is a BIG deal in this house!)

3). During the first handful of years in our marriage, we successfully dug ourselves out of over $100,000 in student loan debt, with completely normal incomes.

4). In 2013, we (Brad and Lindsey) were BOTH diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and drastically changed our lifestyle for the better because of it.

5). In September of 2019 Brad had brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Since then, we have been on a deeper journey of health and healing using a holistic approach and letting God lead the way.

6). We have homeschooled {loved it} and now are a part of a wonderful Christian school in our area.

7). Brad loves the outdoors. His favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping with the family.

8). Lindsey loves to read, natural living, being a stay-at-home mom, essential oils and herbs, connecting with others, and growing in faith.

As you can see, we’ve been on quite the journey as a family. Life is never guaranteed to be easy, and every one of these obstacles has brought us closer to God, closer to each other, and made our faith stronger than ever. God leads our life now, and we feel this crazy, beautiful, messy, challenging journey has just begun…
